Literature Text

In the Making

drink up the night air
        with the circulating fairy snow
        over the forests of green
        you can easily hide
on this path that eventually loses itself

driving through this land
trying to keep between the tracks
        with a kicking heart
in search for the right beat
the one it can follow without fear

time it will take away the fire
you'll be freed from the chains
        afterwards it won't matter
        how far you'll run

words get lost
        while gaining meaning
paper by paper like sand in a sand clock
you can't hurry what's in the making
...

Does it flow well?
Can you find some meaning in it?
In your opinion, are images scattered?
Any suggestions?

Thank you!

Yes, believe me, it does flow quite well. I think particularly the second stanza flows really well. And to me, it portrays a young person who is on the road of life trying to find where they fit in, what their purpose in life, etc. As they go on, they are freed from the chains of expectations and learn what the meaning of their life is. Let me know if I'm way off track, but that's what I take from it. And good literature doesn't have one meaning, anyway.

No, I don't think the images are scattered. I think they fit really well together.
