Find a place

perfectly aligned to the watchers eyes
better not let anyone know - the mirror lies
step by step accompanied by the sharp shadows
spent days saying goodbye
        not knowing to what
        missing in advance
all the things to come,
to change your life upside down
ready to leave at any given moment
the past doesn't bound me to anything
once you see there ain't no baggage holding you back
look around, I feel so out of place
in solitude I created a world
escaping to a more comfortable state
chasing the light that merely shines
how the world once seemed big
promised not to get old
they gave you hope in a box
yet felt pity they can't do better
while you were searching for an asylum
lazy summer days rolled through our fingers
wanted to change the world, free to see
childish dreams
        elders forgot to follow
so much beauty crawled before my eyes
        while I was blinded
while my eyes could've seen the magic
learned too late how to live
time bent our heads and skin
old stoned heart still beats with spirit of youth
we're here, but we don't see
stargazer under the naked night sky
I wanna find a place that is mine
and plant the seeds of hope and dream
in the field of "what could be"
...

I like the way you write.
A Polish poet once wrote: "Yet though, I also have so much land,/As my foot covers,/Wherever I go"
Maybe the road is your place?
